PTAWA – Tutorial

Must feel more positive. Must feel more positive…

I actually went to uni this morning (hard to believe but I promise it’s true) and had a short chat about the project with Wendy before rushing back into town in the rain. This was really helpful, if only for keeping me from straying too far from the work. The next step for me to take is choosing three separate ideas for the outcome and I think a good, if not slightly overbearing, idea is to focus on three audiences rather than three campaigns at this stage.

These three audiences will be primarily students in Neath and Port Talbot who lack the motivation to get back into work, and then unemployed women in the area and women in the refuge who might need a nudge to start socialising with people again and getting back into their community. The way I will address these audiences and the tone of voice used will be different for each. Also the form the campaign is delivered in will vary; for example social media would be an effective gateway to students but completely inappropriate for refuge users. The same goes for video and pressure on social events.

The next thing I plan to do is search for existing campaigns and the ways in which they are delivered to their audience and the language and imagery used. After this I will think of a few ideas for each audience and possibly begin to develop a single idea in time for the next tutorial on Thursday.
